Foody is an informational tool for everyday food choices. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or allergic reaction. It does not replace advice from a doctor, dietitian or allergist. If you have a food allergy, intolerance or medical condition, follow your professional's guidance and your emergency plan — not this app.
Always check the real label
The allergen and diet results, and the ingredient and nutrition data, are automated and may be wrong or incomplete:
- Much of the data comes from Open Food Facts, a community-edited open database. Entries can be missing, outdated or incorrect, and recipes change without notice.
- The allergen and diet analysis is a text-matching estimate. It can miss an allergen (for example one hidden in an additive or written in a language it can't read) or flag one that isn't there.
- When the app is unsure it shows "Unknown" rather than "safe" — but a green "no allergens flagged" result is never a guarantee.
Before you eat anything, verify the ingredients on the product's own packaging. Never rely on Foody alone for an allergy-critical decision.
Photo food-scan and nutrition numbers are estimates
Calories and macros from the photo food-scan, and any nutrition figures, are approximate. A single photo cannot reveal the exact recipe or portion weight. Treat the numbers as a rough guide, check them, and adjust before saving.
No liability for unverified reliance
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for harm arising from reliance on the app's results where you have not confirmed them against the product label or a qualified professional. This disclaimer forms part of the Terms of Service.
